The development of this guidance leads and supports the airline and airline catering industries worldwide as they continue to take actions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The ACA/IFSA COVID-19 Guideline introduces several guiding principles which provide direction on managing the COVID-19 pandemic and to support safe business operations including at airports, airlines, kitchens, and aircrafts.
In early January 2021 IFSA members were encouraged to contact Congress to assure that the PSP (Payroll Support Program) also included relief for contractors. These efforts proved successful and under the COVID-19 relief provisions of the new stimulus bill, a total of $1,000,000,000 has been earmarked to enable the continuation of the Payroll Support Program for airline contractors.
